Kimberly Kelstone, CNM
Kimberly became a Certified Nurse-Midwife in 2017, graduating with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Stony Brook University in 2018. In her previous life, she spent over 25 years working as an ASL interpreter -- including following a Deaf doctor through her OB/GYN residency. She continues to provide education to interpreters - especially on healthcare topics, and is also an adjunct professor of Midwifery with Stony Brook University.
She is passionate about health education and patient empowerment. Some of her favorite aspects of Midwifery include contraception, sexual health, and pregnancy. Kimberly welcomes Deaf & ASL using patients to her practice, speaks some Spanish and strives to provide a warm, safe, and welcoming atmosphere to all patients.
Outside of work, Kimberly splits her time between a local townhouse and a second home in Rochester, New York. She has two teenage boys, a partner, and a husband who keep her grounded and enjoy her cooking. She also enjoys discovering local restaurants, remodeling both houses, and spending time outdoors.
